WHAT DOES ABBOTSFORD'S PLAN "A"
MEAN FOR YOU?
On November 25, 2006 all eligible Abbotsford voters will have an opportunity
to vote on PLAN A, a comprehensive, inclusive plan to build three new multi-use
facilities that will expand and enhance the opportunities for Abbotsford
life. The Clearbrook Community Center will be hosting a public forum on
Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in the Azalea Room starting at 1:00 pm in
order for the City of Abbotsford to share the details and to answer the
many questions that you probably have about PLAN "A" -Plan now to be there!
VOLUNTEERS' BREAKFAST
Here at the Clearbrook Golden Age Society we like to take time to celebrate
and appreciate our Volunteers. The Garden Park Tower Staff would like to
show our appreciation for all the hard work that the volunteers provide
to our Community and our Society. We would like to invite all of our
Volunteers and their Spouses to our Volunteer Breakfast on Thursday, November
16, 2006 at 8:30 am in the Magnolia Room and enjoy a delicious breakfast
prepared especially for you by the Garden Park staff. All C.G.A.S. volunteers
and their spouses are welcome but we need you to sign up in the Office
to confirm that you are coming. Please do this as soon as possible; Thank
You!

The Kitchen at Garden Park Tower needs an alternate bun maker
for Mondays, and an alternate dessert maker for Wednesdays.
Please See Ingried in the Kitchen if you can help. Other volunteer
positions also need to be filled in Tours, The Coffee Shop, and the Gift

Chemainus — A Christmas in Wales
Nov. 29, 2006
Take the Horseshoe Ferry to Nanaimo. Drive to Chemainus and see
the many outdoor murals that have made this town famous. Enjoy a
buffet dinner and A Christmas in Wales. This play with music is an
adult’s warm remembrance of an old-fashioned holiday in a tiny seaside
town. It’s a wonderland of Welsh carols, splendid words, and snowball
mischief.
Victorian Country Christmas

Drive to Puyallup WA for a fun-filled day at the fairgrounds where
every building houses either food, entertainment, or hundreds of craft
booths. Do your Christmas shopping while you listen to artists performing
at several locations. Enjoy the
Singing Nativity— a wonderful choir production in the Showplace Arena.
On the way home, enjoy a buffet dinner at Bellis Fair Country Buffet.
Christmas Harbour Caroling Cruise
Dec. 6, 2006
Travel to Vancouver for a 3-hour harbour cruise with onboard carol
singers to sing for you and lead you in some Yuletide favorites.
Song sheets are provided at each table. Enjoy a traditional single—entrée
holiday dinner as you cruise the harbour.
